RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) has hired Aaron P. Diefenthaler to serve as its new vice president, chief investment officer. Diefenthaler will report to RLI Vice President, CFO Thomas L. Brown and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s investment strategy, policy and asset allocation. He will also be responsible for selecting, monitoring and evaluating RLI’s external investment managers.
