Canaccord Genuity upgraded NuVasive (NASDAQ: NUVA) from Hold to Buy, price target maintained at $19.00.
Analyst, William J. Plovanic, said, "While we note that legal risks are hard to quantify, we believe at current valuations the risk-reward is compelling. Furthermore, we are resetting our estimates to reflect a more realistic trajectory in 2012 and beyond, removing unapproved products, assuming international challenges and a conservative ramp for the Impulse Medical acquisition. Lastly, we believe new product approvals/launches in the US as well as synergies from the Impulse Medical acquisition now represent upside to our forward estimates."
