Alliant Energt (LNT) CEO, Chair Harvey to Retire, Patricia Kampling to Assume Roles

Alliant Energy (NYSE: LNT) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer William D. Harvey announced his intent to retire from the company effective March 31, 2012. Harvey has spent 25 years with Alliant Energy, and its predecessor WPL Holdings, and has served as Chairman and CEO for the last six years, leading the transformation of the company back to a top performing utility.
The Board of Directors appointed Patricia L. Kampling, 52, to succeed Harvey. Kampling was also appointed as a member of the Board of Directors effective January 20, 2012. Kampling will become Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairperson of the Board of Alliant Energy, effective April 1, 2012.
