The Progressive Corporation (NYSE: PGR) today reported the amount of its annual variable dividend which it previously announced on December 9, 2011.
The annual variable dividend will be paid on February 3, 2012, to shareholders of record at the close of business on January 26, 2012 (ex-dividend date of January 24, 2012). The amount of the dividend is $.4072 per common share, or an estimated $249.6 million in the aggregate, and is reflected in our 2011 financial statements.
