Goldman Sachs upgraded Neustar (NYSE: NSR) from Neutral to Conviction Buy with a price target of $43 (up form $38), suggesting 22% upside. The firm cited defensive EPS and wireless exposure to drive outperformance.

The firm raised estimates citing faster revenue growth and modestly higher margins, and higher valuation multiples, "reflecting increased conviction on NSR's earnings power into CY2012."

Goldman said shares are posed for continued outperformance given "highly recurring revenue base, low exposure to Europe and the financial services vertical, and significant EPS accretion from recent capital allocation initiatives including M&A and share buybacks."
