BG Medicine, Inc. (Nasdaq: BGMD), has appointed Eric Bouvier, Ph.D., as the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, effective as of January 9, 2012. Eric brings to BG Medicine over a decade of global, scientific, commercial, cardiovascular and molecular diagnostics experience and until recently, Eric was head of the Immunoassay business at bioMerieux.
Prior to joining BG Medicine and since May 2011, Eric Bouvier was the President of Leica Microsystems.
