Commercial Metals (CMC) CFO Says Icahn Bid Undervalues Co.; Shares Tick Higher

Shares of Commercial Metals Company (NYSE: CMC) turned positive around 10:30am ET and are currently continuing higher as the company's Q1 conference call began about 10 minutes ago.

On the call, CFO Barbara Smith said the offer from Carl Icahn undervalues Commercial Metals. She believes the bid is not in the interest of all the company's shareholders.

Commercial Metals shares are now up 1.9 percent to $14.70.
