This morning, Raymond James became more positive on some Independent Oil & Gas stocks.

Raymond James upgraded Denbury Resources (NYSE: DNR), Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE: APC), and QEP Resources (NYSE: QEP) from an 'Outperform' to a 'Strong Buy' rating. This morning, DNR shares are up almost 2%, APC is trading flat, and QEP is down 1.3%.

RayJ also upgraded Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) from 'Market Perform' to 'Outperform', but the stock is down about 1.3%.

The firm, however, took TETRA Technologies (NYSE: TTI) off the 'Strong Buy' list, lowering its rating to 'Outperform'. The stock is getting whacked, currently down 5.25%.

Yesterday, TTI guided 2012 EPS between $0.70-$0.90, in-line with The Street consensus of $0.78.
