CorpBanca (BCA) Announces Resignation of CEO Mario Chamorro
On December 29, 2011, Mr. Mario Chamorro announced his resignation as Chief Executive Officer of CorpBanca (NYSE: BCA). Mr. Chamorro has been CEO between 2001 and 2003 and from 2006 until 2011. Mr. Alvaro Saieh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, publicly expressed his gratitude to Mr. Chamorro for his support, commitment, discipline and leadership as CorpBanca's CEO.
The same day, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Cristian Canales as interim Chief Executive Officer.
