Wells Fargo's Anthony Gallo removed shares of both JB Hunt (Nasdaq: JBHT) and Kansas City Southern (NYSE: KSU) from the firm's "Priority Stock List" Friday morning.

The analyst made no estimate or ratings revisions at this time.

Gallo said each company "has benefited in 2011 from attractive organic growth in its businesses, which more than offset lackluster economic growth." While JB Hunt and Kansas City Southern remain Wells Fargo's "favorite organic growth stories, we believe the shares increasingly reflect this positioning."

Gallo sees "cross-border intermodal, increased 'near-sourcing' in Mexico, and expansion at the Port of Lazaro Cardenas..." as possible growth catalysts for Kansas City Southern. Meanwhile, the analyst cites "intermodal and 'final mile' deliver (dedicated services)..." driving growth for JB Hunt.

Both stocks remain Outperform rated.
