Celgene Corporation (Nasdaq: CELG) has appointed Richard Bagger as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Strategic Market Access, effective January 30th. Mr. Bagger will be responsible for all government and public affairs, strategic market access, communications and patient advocacy initiatives and will report to Robert J. Hugin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Celgene Corporation. The position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Strategic Market Access is a newly created position at Celgene established to support the Company’s global expansion.
Bagger served as a State Senator for New Jersey from 2001-2003 and before that served for ten years in the New Jersey General Assembly. He received a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a J.D. degree from Rutgers University Law School.
