Stifel Nicolaus' Christopher King issued a research note Tuesday morning suggesting AT&T (NYSE: T) could be possibly “forced” to purchase Dish Networks (Nasdaq: DISH) following the termination of the T-Mobile USA merger. If AT&T does make an offer on Dish, King believes it would be "sooner rather than later."

The analyst also said an AT&T bid for EchoStar (Nasdaq: SATS) spectrum could be on the table.

Dish chief executive officer Joseph Clayton recently hinted at a Dish bid for T-Mobile USA if the AT&T deal went south. Click here to read the full article.

Shares of Dish are up more than 8 percent Tuesday afternoon. The stock last traded at $27.19.
