Canaccord Genuity maintains a 'Hold' on Pentair (NYSE: PNR) price target lowered from $38 to $36.

Canaccord analyst, John Quealy, said, "The Q4 revision reflects steeper than expected volume declines (Western Europe/Resi treatment channel), while the initial outlook for ’12 (~4-6% organic growth) balances current macro uncertainties and continued pricing/productivity initiatives (driving margin expansion). We like the commitment to innovation and emerging market expansion, although find risk/reward balanced given persistent residential challenges."

"Our estimates adjust to incorporate the updated outlook and incremental headwinds in 2012. F2011 goes to $3.46B/ $2.39 from $3.49B/$2.46; 2012 to $3.70B/$2.61 from $3.70B/$2.75."
