Ahead of its Annual Outlook Investor Meeting Tuesday, General Electric (NYSE: GE) is giving some updates for 2012:
- sees total sales up 5 percent
- sees profit up from 2011
- sees cash from industrial operations of $11-$12 billion in 2011 and 2012
- sees a $1 billion pension contribution next year (the company hasn't contributed to its pension since 1987)
- anticipating "strong global organic growth"
- sees its Finance unit performing "stronger than plan"
