December 12, 2011 3:36 PM EST
This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Dollar General Corp. (NYSE: DG) high of $41.50. Dollar General is shrugging off broader market moves Monday, making it's way to a new annual high. The only other one of Dollar General's direct peers in the green is Dollar Tree (Nasdaq: DLTR). With a bleak outlook, investors and traders might be expecting revenue increases out of the discount retailers, as Americans continue to pinch pennies.
52-Week Low:
  • Research In Motion Limited (Nasdaq: RIMM) low of $15.93. RIM broke below $16 for the first time since the end of November, as investors are positioning for its earnings announcement, expected out after the market closes Thursday. Goldman Sachs issued a brief preview for the quarter, basically expecting luke warm results. For more color from Goldman, Click here.

  • Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE: BSX) low of $5.23. Boston Scientific has been bouncing between the low-$5s and $6s, but the overall trend appears decidedly downward. No specific news on the move today, but overall market condition have been hampering many big names over the last several weeks.

  • National Bank of Greece SA (NYSE: NBG) low of $2.01. NBG shares fell over 16 percent to the new mark, as Greek officials, members of the EU and IMF, and banks begin bailout discussions Monday. Click here for a little more color.

  • Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) low of $13.92. Cablevision has made an impressive run today. After dropping 2.2 percent, the stock is back in positive territory heading into the close.
