Barclays on U.S. IT Consulting & Computer Services: Peller's Views, Weekly Update
Barclays analyst, Darrin D. Peller, said, "Week Ahead - TSS ex-dividend (12/13), PAY fiscal 4Q11 earnings report (12/14), MBA mortgage application indices (12/14), ADS November credit report (12/15), ACN fiscal 1Q12 earnings report (12/15), DFS fiscal 4Q11 earnings report (12/15)."
"Key events included an updated 13-D filing from FAF disclosing the company withdrew its bid to purchase all of CLGX; new contracts or service announcements from Western Union (NYSE: WU), Fiserv (Nasdaq: FISV), Cognizant Technology (Nasdaq: CTSH), and Accenture (NYSE: ACN); and headlines related to telco acceptance of Google Wallet (Nasdaq: GOOG). We published notes reviewing revenue mix and capital structure shifts at VeriFone (NYSE: PAY) related to recent acquisitions and previewing ACN's earnings results next week (we expect fiscal 1Q to show continued strength, but maintain our Equalweight rating given valuation and potential discretionary spending risks in future quarters). We also provided feedback from our Tech conference this week: Takeaways from our covered companies including Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS), CTSH, PAY, and Acacia Research (Nasdaq: ACTG) were broadly constructive, with ADS notably providing new data points suggesting incremental strength and upside in the 4Q/FY12 outlook, and NXP Semiconductors (Nasdaq: NXPI) and Infosys (Nasdaq: INFY) provided relevant payment and consulting industry commentary. We also had the opportunity to meet with Square, and see opportunities for a continuation of strong growth, particularly further into the micro merchant category."
