General Electric (NYSE: GE) today announces the appointment of three new company officers. GE currently has 198 GE officers globally who lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Puneet Mahajan, 37, has been appointed vice president and chief risk officer at GE Corporate. In this role, he reports to Keith Sherin, vice chairman and chief financial officer and Geoff Beattie, member of the GE Board of Directors and chair of the Risk Committee. Mahajan is also now a member of the GE Capital Board. Previously, he was CFO for GE in India, where he played a key role in driving the growth strategy for GE India.
Banmali Agrawala, 48, has been named President and CEO for GE Energy in India, effective December 1. Agrawala will be responsible for driving profitable growth for the business in India, reporting to John Flannery, president & CEO of GE India.
Richard Hausmann, 51, has been named vice president and general manager, Magnetic Resonance, GE Healthcare, effective January 1, 2012. Hausmann will join GE from Siemens where he was most currently the CEO of the company’s Smart Grid Applications and E-Mobility project for Siemens AG Energy.
