Zynga's (ZNGA) Pincus to Retain Stake at IPO

All games aside, Zynga (Nasdaq: ZNGA) CEO Mark Pincus is committed to his company. And when it IPOs, he'll be hanging on to his shares.

Reports Wednesday have Pincus -- whose Zynga has donned fans globally over the last several years -- and principal shareholder Kleiner Perkins aiming to hold on to all of their positions when the company goes public.

AllThingsD notes that some large shareholders opt to sell stock when their company goes public, and the number is a metric closely watched by shareholders.

This goes somewhat against the grain for Pincus, who has been painted as one of the greedier, penny-pinchers in Silicon Valley, meticulously tracking employee output and keeping lists of favorites and non favorites.

Pincus now holds 91.4 million of Class B shares, 16 percent of the total, as well as 20.5 million of Class C shares, 38 percent of that group. Kleiner holds 65.2 million shares, or 11.2 percent, of Class B shares, AllThingsD stated.

Yesterday, it was reported that Zynga's road show would start December 5th, but no firm IPO date has been set yet.
