Following a parabolic move amid updates from Egan-Jones on Jefferies (NYSE: JEF) credit rating, the stock has now moved well into positive territory following headlines from Fox Business' Charlie Gasparino which suggest the company may not remain independent.
A source has told Gasparino Jefferies could merge with an asset manager. Gasparino also pointed to the possibility of a Canadian bank making a move to acquire Jefferies.
The stock is now up 2 percent to $10.40.
