Oppenheimer maintains a 'Perform' on Jack In The Box (NASDAQ: JACK).

Oppenheimer analyst says, "JACK reported impressive F4Q11 "operating" EPS of $0.19, ahead of our $0.16 estimate owing to both stronger than expected comps and restaurant margins. However, initial 2012 EPS outlook is below expectations (despite a strong comp outlook) calling for operating EPS of $0.90-1.10, vs. our $1.12 estimate going into the quarter. The gap appears attributable to higher than expected SG&A, food cost headwinds, franchisee re-image incentives ($0.07-0.09) and elevated tax rate. Headline F2012 EPS guidance of $1.10-1.43 (including $0.20-0.33 from refranchising gains) is below consensus of $1.72."
