UBS Maintains a 'Neutral' on GenOn Energy (GEN); Running the Retirement Math

UBS maintains a 'Neutral' on GenOn Energy (NYSE: GEN) price target lowered from $3.25 to $3.00.

UBS analyst says, "We are modestly lowering our EBITDA estimates to reflect 3QA results, mgmt’s CSAPR guidance, as well as the latest commodities. We note generation guidance was revised down more than we expected (-10 TWh vs. 2Q11 for ‘12), reiterating our belief that ‘15+ EBITDA is in a range of ~$600 Mn post-retirements."

UBS cuts FY11 EPS estimate from (0.07) to (0.11) and FY12 from (0.29) to (0.45).
