Goldman Sachs downgraded General Growth Properties (NYSE: GGP) from Buy to Neutral with a price target of $14 (down from $15) citing lower-than-expected growth in 2012.

The firm notes expects more tepid earnings growth in 2012 of 5% and thus, would rather own shares of companies with greater near-term visibility andsuperior growth, such as Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) and Taubman Centers (NYSE: TCO).
