Shares of Barnes and Noble (NYSE: BKS) have jumped sharply into positive territory following an intraday upgrade from Stifel Nicolaus' David Schick. The stock is now up 6.7 percent to $17.27.

Schick lifted his investment rating on Barnes & Noble from Hold to Buy and set a new $25 price target.

The firm's new price target suggests potential upside of about 45 percent from where the stock is currently trading.
