BioFuel Energy (Nasdaq: BIOF) 36.5% HIGHER; ethanol and speculative oil stocks are hot this morning as oil is now over $100 per barrel for the first time since the end of July. The stock was up nearly 42 percent yesterday.

Pacific Ethanol (Nasdaq: PEIX) 23.3% HIGHER; see BioFuel.

Tessera Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSRA) 21.2% HIGHER; reports Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. exercised the renewal option in its Jan. 1, 2005 license agreement with Tessera, Inc. to extend the term of that license to May 17, 2017.

Zoom Tech. (Nasdaq: ZOOM) 19.7% LOWER; reports Q3 sales of $50.7 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $99.72 million. Net income for the quarter was $1.76 million. Lowers its FY11 sales guidance to $250-$255 million, net income to $7.5-$8.6 million. Street currently looking for sales of $331.28 million. Sees FY12 sales $360-$380 million, vs. the consensus of $403.9 million. Sees net income of $12-$13 million.

Tengasco (AMEX: TGC) 16.9% HIGHER; moving as crude oil is now over $100 per barrel.

NovaGold (AMEX: NG) 14.8% HIGHER; announced the company will explore options to sell a share of its Galore project. Also announced Kaplan will be Chairman and Lang will be President and CEO.

Chemed (NYSE: CHE) 14.5% LOWER; according to Bloomberg this morning, a whistleblower has accused the company of defrauding the government by conspiring with health insurers to enroll Medicare patients who weren't dying.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) 14.5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.57, $0.14 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.71. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.08 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.07 billion. Comps up 7%.

Unilife Corporation (NASDAQ: UNIS) 14.5% LOWER; today announced the pricing of its underwritten registered public offering of 8,250,000 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $4.35 per share. All of the shares in the offering are to be sold by Unilife. In connection with the offering, the Company also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,237,500 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.

CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP) 11.9% HIGHER; announced today that it was awarded a $4.7 million extension of its development contract to help design and supply initial radios for the North American interoperable Positive Train Control (PTC) system.

Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCRX) 11% HIGHER; has priced its public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $6.50 per share. All of the 7,000,000 shares are newly issued and are being offered by Pacira, with expected net proceeds to Pacira of approximately $42.3 million after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses. In addition, Pacira has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 shares to cover over-allotments, if any.

Netlist (Nasdaq: NLST) 10.5% HIGHER; continuing higher today following nearly 65 percent run-up since last Thursday. The company announced two deals for the HyperCloud with IBM and HP yesterday.

Amtech Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASYS) 9.9% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.31, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenue for the quarter came in at $59.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $54.29 million. Sees Q1 2012 revenue of $21-$23 million, versus the consensus of $49.59 million.
