Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) price target of $6.00.
Barclays analyst says, "JetBlue still enjoys a valuation premium by several benchmarks so we believe better equity performance is contingent on demonstrating an ability to grow profitably. Perhaps maturation of investments in Boston and the Caribbean will create that opportunity, but in our view a CASM inflection point is needed. We believe potential for better cost outcomes exists, but cost pressures heading into 2012 suggest those opportunities may take time to develop."
"Allegiant Travel (Nasdaq: ALGT), Alaska Air (NYSE: ALK), and Spirit Air (Nasdaq: SAVE) outperforming: In recent months, selected Low-Fare Carriers (LFCs) have outperformed, notably ALGT and SAVE. The equity performance gap to Southwest (NYSE: LUV) and JBLU has reached some 30% since late May."
