Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on State Street (NYSE: STT) price target of $41.00.

Nomura analyst, Glenn Schorr, says, "STT’s core asset servicing and management are going as well as one can hope for given the environment, and STT has its eye on several growth initiatives. The company also has a strong capital position and high capital generation, and we think that the cost save program has some real teeth. While the company is doing what it can to combat a tough environment, we see few near-term catalysts for a rebound. While we like the STT franchise and think the stock is not expensive, the stock could be range-bound as we muddle through this sluggish economic and regulatory backdrop."
