Goldman Sachs trimmed its price target on Neutral-rated Momenta Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: MNTA) from $17 to $16 following an uneventful Q3 report.

The firm sees the Momenta story growing stronger as its core technology has now received early validation from both the FDA (NEJM article) and the legal system. The focus remains on how to monetize and in what time frame. A bull case, which would be a sustained Lovenox duopoly, would have an implied value of $30. On the other hand, a bear case, which has the duopoly ends in 2Q201, would put the implied value at $12.
