Needham & Company reiterates a 'Buy' on Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) price target of $45.00.

Needham analyst says, "SLAB was the first stop on one of a handful of semiconductor companies on our Austin Bus Tour. Joining CEO Necip Sayiner and CFO Paul Walsh were Mike Petrowski, GM of Timing and Mark Thompson, VP of Embedded Mixed Signal (MCU, Isolation, Wireless). The GMs gave excellent overviews of their businesses and the CEO addressed the harder hitting investor questions. The dialog was focused on the touch controller market and SLAB’s success with Samsung (N/R) and management’s optimism that it would expand beyond the Galaxy Y family as well as the TV Tuner market and a high level of confidence that the 2012 pipeline will demonstrate strong growth and market leadership for SLAB. Sizing up the timing market, consisting of clocks and oscillators, proved elusory but SLAB is committed to the space and has the
broadest offering in the industry. Conversely, the MCU market is more tangible and SLAB discussed its ongoing success in 8-bit and targeting specific embedded vertical markets."
