This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CNP) high of $21.47. CenterPoint reported mixed third-quarter earnings results, EPS of 38 cents and revenue of $1.91 billion, compared with estimates of 29 cents per share on revenue of $2.17 billion. Further, excluding the effects of the resolution of the true-up proceeding, CenterPoint Energy expects its 2011 earnings to be at the high end of its guidance range of $1.04 to $1.14 per diluted share.

  • Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (Nasdaq: SIMO)high of $19.00. Silicon Motion moving higher Wednesday following earnings late Tuesday. The company reported third-quarter earnings of 40 cents per share on revenue of $63.2 million, versus Street views calling for earnings of 23 cents per share and revenue of $50.29 million. Though the company sees flat to slightly down revs in Q4, it expects FY11 revenue to be up 61% to 66% compared with full year 2010.

  • MasterCard Inc. (NYSE: MA) high of $364.80. MasterCard moving higher after reporting earnings of $5.63 and revenue of $1.8 billion, beating views calling for earnings of $4.82 and revs of $1.71 billion. Click here for more color on the quarter.

  • FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) high of $42.58. FTI Consulting reported third-quarter earnings of 70 cents per share and revenue of $413.8 million, compared with views calling for earnings of 61 cents per share and revs of $385.08 million.
52-Week Low:
  • Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) low of $18.55. Streetinsider pointed out earlier that RIM hasn't been trading at this level since 2004, which is a pretty big dip for a company that is largely still in the top 5 or 10 compared with rivals like Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG). Also, RIM, as of latest data, carries a book value of $19.05.

  • Career Education Corp (Nasdaq: CECO) low of $9.00. Career Education slammed Wednesday after reporting earnings of 14 cents per share on revenue or $431.3, versus EPS of 33 cents and revs of $458.59 million reported in the same period last year. More importantly, the company accepted the resignation of CEO Gary McCullough, and named Chair Steven Lesnik as CEO. Career Education moved nearly 44 percent lower on the session.

  • OpenTable Inc. (Nasdaq: OPEN) low of $35.60. OpenTable reported third-quarter earnings of 30 cents per share on revenue of $34.4 million, compared with consensus views calling for EPS of 30 cents and revenue of $35.86 million.   • ReachLocal, Inc. (Nasdaq: RLOC) low of $7.27. ReachLocal reported third-quarter EPS of $0.09, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $98.63 million versus the consensus estimate of $101.29 million. Shares were downgraded by Craig-Hallum earlier.
