Career Education Corp (Nasdaq: CECO) 41.2% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.14, versus $0.33 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $431.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $458.59 million. Accepts resignation of CEO Gary McCullough, names Lesnik as CEO.

ReachLocal, Inc. (Nasdaq: RLOC) 29% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.09, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $98.63 million versus the consensus estimate of $101.29 million. The stock was downgraded at Craig-Hallum.

Orient Paper, Inc. (AMEX: ONP) 26.6% HIGHER; sees Q3 revs of $37.1 million and earnings of 30 cents per share. The Street sees revs of $39.95 million and earnings of 28 cents per share. FY11 outlook revised to $147 - $163 million, but net income guidance reaffirmed. The Street sees FY11 revs of $163.42 million.

Phoenix Cos., Inc. (NYSE: PNX) 26.5% HIGHER; reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.25, versus ($0.06) reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $463.3 million, versus $483.2 million reported last year.

Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp. (Nasdaq: BGFV) 21.1 HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.27, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $234.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $232.24 million. Big 5 sees Q4 2011 EPS of $0.12 to $0.24, versus the consensus of $0.19.

QuickLogic Corp (Nasdaq: QUIK) 21% LOWER; reported Q3 non-GAAP EPS of ($0.03), in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $5.59 million.

Diamond Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq: DMND) 20.3% LOWER; announced that its previously announced acquisition of the Pringles snack business from The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) is now expected to close in the first half of calendar 2012. Diamond and P&G had previously expected the closing to occur in December of 2011. The stock was downgraded at BofA, RBC, Janney and Northland.

Noranda Aluminum Holding (NYSE: NOR) 19.7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.21, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter came in at $400.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $363.99 million. Looking ahead, Noranda sees seasonal demand patterns comparable to those seen in fourth quarter 2010 for value-added primary aluminum products such as billet and rod, and for flat rolled products.

HHGregg, Inc. (NYSE: HGG) 19.5% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.16, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $618.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $539.6 million. Comps up 1.5%. HHGregg sees FY2011 EPS of $1.26 to $1.41, versus prior guidance of $1.20 to $1.35 and the consensus of $1.20. Sees net sales increase of 20% to 25%, from a previous range of 15% to 20%.

Codexis, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDXS) 18.7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.08), in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenue for the quarter came in at $33.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $31.65 million. Sees FY2011 revenue of $120 million or more, versus the consensus of $122 million.

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVTL) 17.3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.00, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenue for the quarter came in at $113.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $112.95 million. Novatel sees Q4 2011 EPS of ($0.10) to $0.00, versus the consensus of $0.02, and revenue of $105 to $120 million, versus the consensus of $122.7 million.
