UPDATE - UBS upgraded Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) from Neutral to Buy. PT raised from $17 to $19.75.

UBS analyst says, "Our checks and peer results suggest networking demand is solid in the US and stable in Europe. In the near-term we see Cisco as a beneficiary of these trends. We also now view ests for Cisco as reasonable. The Street now expects Cisco to grow revs 4.6% in FY12 with EPS of $1.70. We forecast growth of 5.4% (same EPS of $1.70)."

"We believe near term competitive pressures are easing for CSCO and its refocus in core markets will stem/reverse recent share losses. Checks show CSCO is benefiting in Switching and Blade Servers vs. HP (NYSE: HPQ) given HP’s organizational/strategic issues, at least in the short term. Cisco is likely facing less intense pricing pressure, and may experience more favorable switching and blade server mkt share trends near-term."
