Education Management Corp (NASDAQ: EDMC) reported Q1 EPS of $0.24, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $682.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $677.71 million.
Total enrollment at Education Management schools was approximately 151,200 students, a 4.5% decrease from the same time last year. Same-school enrollment (schools with enrollment for one year or more) decreased 4.9% to approximately 150,500 students. The number of students enrolled in fully online programs decreased 7.6% to approximately 39,100 students.
