Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 10/26: (LNG) (MEG) (RTK) Higher; (MF) (HGSI) (XG) Lower

Cheniere Energy (NYSE: LNG) 59.2% HIGHER; BG Group signed a fully-termed sale and purchase agreement for the purchase of 3.5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas over a 20-year period from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal located in Louisiana, USA.

Media General (NYSE: MEG) 29.9% HIGHER; after holding very closely to its 200-day SMA from October 14th to October 20th, the stock continues to breakout today. Shares are up more than 93 percent over the last week.

MF Global (NYSE: MF) 25% LOWER; WSJ reporting the company has hired investment banks in order to explore possible mergers. Today's decline looks that much worse considering shares plunged nearly 50 percent yesterday.

Rentech (AMEX: RTK) 23.3% HIGHER; trading higher amid news Rentech Nitrogen Partners LP has launched a public offering of 15 million units at $19-$21 per unit.

Clearwire Corporation (Nasdaq: CLWR) 23.2% HIGHER; shares are surging after Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) said the two sides are negotiating a potential network-sharing agreement for LTE. Sprint commented about this on its conference call this morning.

Human Genome Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: HGSI) 22.7% LOWER; reported Q3 loss of $0.45, 6 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.39). Revenue for the quarter came in at $34 million versus the consensus estimate of $37.31 million. In previous guidance, originally provided in February 2011, HGS expected cash and investments at year-end 2011 to total between $550 million and $650 million. The Company now expects cash and investments at year-end 2011 to total between $440 million and $470 million, net of $79 million principal amount and interest paid upon maturity of the 2011 convertible debt.

First Financial Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: FFCH) 21.7% HIGHER; announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, First Federal Savings and Loan Association entered into a definitive agreement to sell $197.9 million of selected performing loans and classified assets in a single transaction to affiliates of Värde Partners, Inc., and three of Värde's joint venture partners, affiliates of FirstCity Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: FCFC), Mountain Real Estate Group and Shelving Rock Partners.

Extorre Gold Mines (AMEX: XG) 20.8% LOWER; the stock seems to be breaking below the 200-day SMA on very heavy volume. With less than two hours left in the trading session, nearly 1.9 million shares have traded hands, compared to the stocks daily average of 277,000 shares.

Questcor Pharmacueticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOR) 20.7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.37, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenue for the quarter came in at $59.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $53.42 million.

DeVry, Inc. (NYSE: DV) 17.1% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.83, 13 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.96. Revenue for the quarter came in at $519 million versus the consensus estimate of $529.28 million. The stock was downgraded at Barclays and JPMorgan.

RadioShack Corp. (NYSE: RSH) 12.6% LOWER;reported Q3 EPS of $0.15, $0.21 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.03 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.04 billion. Raises annual dividend from 25 to 50 cent. Authorizes $200 million buyback.
