Three aerospace names are trading mixed Wednesday morning following quarterly results.
- Boeing (NYSE: BA), which just launched (no pun) it's hotly anticipated 787 Dreamliner, reported earnings of $1.46 per share and revenue of $17.7 billion, which was mixed to consensus views calling for earnings of $1.09 per share and revenue of $17.87 billion. Looking ahead, Boeing expects fiscal 2011 earnings anywhere from $4.30 to $4.40 per share, beating consensus views of $4.27. Revenue expectations moved from $68 to $71 billion to a more modest $68 to $70 billion, still in-line with views calling for $68.9 billion.
Boeing shares are ripping 4 percent better Wednesday.
- Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) reported adjusted earnings of $1.63 per share on revenue of $6.61 billion, both missing views calling for earnings of $1.68 per share and revenue of $6.82 billion. Northrop did raise expectations from $6.75 to $6.90 to a range of $6.95 to $7.05. The Street is currently looking for earnings of $6.87 per share.
Northrop shares are modestly higher Wednesday. Sounds like someone should have launched their own Dreamliner.
- Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) blasted views with laser-gun earnings of $1.99 and bombastic revenue of $12.1 billion, versus views calling for earnings of $1.81 and revenue of $11.73 billion. Lockheed also raised fiscal 2011 earnings expectations from $7.35 to $7.55 to a range of $7.40 to $7.60, and the consensus of $7.52.
Amid the news, Lockheed shares are off 1.7 percent early Wednesday.
