Xylem (XYL) To Replace ITT (ITT) In S&P 500, ITT To Replace EK In S&P MidCap 400, XLS for KND In S&P MidCap 400, KND for SMSI in SmallCap 600, LMOSV for KID in SmallCap 600

Xylem Inc. (NYSE: XYLwi) (NYSE: XYL) will replace ITT Corp. (NYSE: ITT) in the S&P 500 index, the ITT stub (NYSE: ITTwi) will replace Eastman Kodak Co. (NYSE: EK) in the S&P MidCap 400 index, Exelis Inc. (NYSE: XLSwi) (NYSE: XLS) will replace Kindred Healthcare Inc. (NYSE: KND) in the S&P MidCap 400 index, and Kindred Healthcare will replace Smith Micro Software Inc. (NASDAQ: SMSI) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index. Xylem and Exelis are being spun off from ITT Corp. in a transaction expected to be completed after the close of trading on October 31, pending final approvals. Eastman Kodak is currently ranked #400 in the S&P MidCap 400 index and is no longer appropriate for that index. Kindred Healthcare’s current market capitalization makes it more representative of the small cap market space. Smith Micro Software has a market capitalization of $45 million, and is no longer representative of the small cap market space.

Lumos Networks Corp. (NASDAQ: LMOSV) will replace Kid Brands Inc. (NYSE: KID) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index. S&P SmallCap 600 index constituent NTELOS Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: NTLS) is spinning off Lumos Networks in a transaction expected to be completed after the close of trading on October 31, pending final approvals. The NTELOS Holdings stub will remain in the index. Kid Brands has a market capitalization of $50 million, and is no longer representative of the small cap market space.
