UBS maintains a 'Neutral' on Alexion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ALXN) price target raised from $57 to $70.
UBS analyst says, "Following another strong quarter, we are revising our estimates to reflect continued growth in PNH, as well as potential margin expansion through the addition of aHUS and high-risk trans plant (which we had previously underappreciated). Mgmt continued to temper aHUS launch expectations, and we have downwardly revised our aHUS estimates to reflect a more gradual ramp. We continue to view aHUS as a blockbuster indication, with $1.0B in WW aHUS revenues expected by 2020. We are raising our 2012 EPS estimate to $1.74 from $1.62."
"Alexion a core holding in biotech, but valuation remains challenging: On balance, we view Alexion as one of the most fundamentally solid companies in biotech, with a strong growth profile, top-flight mgmt, and through its target orphan drug indications, defensive against most economic pressures. However, despite our positive bias, we would prefer to wait for pullbacks or additional pipeline clarity before recommending ALXN shares."
