Powerwave (Nasdaq: PWAV) 46.3% LOWER; sees Q3 sales of $75-$79 million, vs. the consensus of $168.4 million. Cites significant slowdown in North America.

USA Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: USAT) 31.3% HIGHER; today issued the following additional information regarding the resignation of Chairman and CEO George Jensen on October 14, 2011. Late last month, the Audit Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors was contacted with information suggesting that Mr. Jensen had been posting information about the Company on an online investor forum. Kroll, Inc., the world’s leading risk consulting company, was engaged in order to assist with the investigation. The investigation determined that Mr. Jensen had posted approximately 450 comments on the Yahoo message board primarily under the alias ‘investor.texas’ over a period of approximately two months. In reviewing the various posts, the Board determined that they were inappropriate. Mr. Jensen acknowledged making these postings.

Checkpoint Systems (NYSE: CKP) 25.4% LOWER; announces restructuring plan which will reduced the company's headcount by about 1,000 employees. The expanded plan will add about $54 million to costs. Sees Q3 adj-EPS of 28 cents on sales of $218 million. The Street is currently looking for Q3 EPS of 49 cents on sales of $244.6 million. Sees FY11 adj-EPS of 32-43 cents, which compares to the consensus estimate of $1.27 cents. Sees sales of $860-$880 million, vs. the consensus of $927.6 million.

Coldwater Creek (Nasdaq: CWTR) 19% LOWER; prices 26.5 million shares at $0.85 per share

Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (NYSE: AEM) 17.3% LOWER; announced today that it is suspending mining operations and gold production at its Goldex mine in Val d'Or, Quebec effective immediately. This decision follows the receipt of an opinion from a second rock mechanics consulting firm which recommended that underground mining operations be halted until the situation is investigated further. The stock was also downgraded at Credit Suisse this morning.

Tekelec (Nasdaq: TKLC) 16.9% HIGHER; offers prelim. Q3 sales $103-$106 million, vs. the consensus of $92.56 million, adj-EPS of 16-20c, which compares to the Street estimate of 6c.

United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI) 14.5% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.92, $0.16 better than the analyst estimate of $0.76. Revenue for the quarter came in at $713 million versus the consensus estimate of $685.79 million.

BioMimetic Therapeutics (Nasdaq: BMTI) 14% HIGHER; receives approval to commercialize Augment(R) Bone Graft in Australia.

Popular (Nasdaq: BPOP) 13.8% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of 3 cents on net interest income of $369.3 million.

Bank of Ireland (NYSE: IRE) 12.4% LOWER; Prime Minister Enda Kenny earlier confirmed the Troika is in talks with a number of Irish banks.

Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: HA) 11.8% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.59, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.45. Revenue for the quarter came in at $455.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $448.22 million.

ON Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq: ONNN) 11.2% LOWER; today provided an update of the impact to its business due to continued flooding in Thailand. The company has confirmed that there remain no on-site injuries to ON Semiconductor employees in Thailand as a result of the flooding. Click here to see the full report.

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISRG) 9.3% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $3.05, $0.29 better than the analyst estimate of $2.76. Revenue for the quarter came in at $447 million versus the consensus estimate of $418.02 million.

Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) 9% LOWER; downgraded two notches to Underperform at Jefferies this morning. A negative Barron's piece is also hitting the stock this morning.

Comerica, Inc. (NYSE: CMA) 9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.51, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.53.

Apollo Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: APOL) 8.4% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.02, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.94. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.12 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.1 billion. Apollo Group, Inc. sees FY2011 revenue of $4.1-$4.3 billion, versus prior guidance of $4-$4.25 billion and the consensus of $4.21 billion.

Pluristem (Nasdaq: PSTI) 8.4% HIGHER; continuing higher following a 6.6 percent rise yesterday. The stock broke over its 200-day SMA yesterday. Volume remains very heavy.
