Zoom Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZOOM) 35.8% HIGHER; has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 55% share of Portables Unlimited LLC.

Rosetta Genomics, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ROSG) 25% LOWER; today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement with investors to purchase an aggregate of $1.9 million in securities in a private placement transaction. The closing of the offering is expected to occur on or about October 18, 2011, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Zep (NYSE: ZEP) 19.8% LOWER; reported Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.24, $0.13 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $173.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $175.56 million.

Clearwire (Nasdaq: CLWR) 14.6% HIGHER; offers preliminary Q3 sales of $332 million, vs. the consensus of $321.6 million. Also expecting quarterly ending subscribers of about 9.5 million and net wholesale subscriber additions of 1.9 million.

Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI) 14.4% LOWER; reports it expects preliminary revenues for its third quarter ended September 30, 2011 to be approximately $12.6 million. This estimate is derived from preliminary results of operations that are unaudited and subject to completion of the financial closing process for this period. The Street was looking for revs of $17.7 million.

Pacific Biosciences of California (Nasdaq: PACB) 12.6% LOWER; remains volatile today. Traders probably taking profits following a 28 percent surge yesterday.

Lindsay Corporation (NYSE: LNN) 8% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.59, ex-items, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.61. Revenue for the quarter came in at $116.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $108.51 million.

SINA (Nasdaq: SINA) 7.7% HIGHER; a Susquehanna analyst this morning suggested China's Deputy Minister of Propaganda emphasized Weibo's positive social impact during a meeting of the National Internet Information office.

China Medical Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: CMED) 7.7% HIGHER; today announced that China's State Food and Drug Administration has approved the Company's real-time PCR-based V-Ki-ras2 Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog assay as a companion diagnostic test for the use of a targeted drug for the treatment of colorectal cancer patients.
