Deutsche Bank upgraded Wausau Paper (NYSE: WPP) from Hold to Buy, maintains price target of $9.00.
Deutsche analyst says, "We’re increasingly confident that the next 3-6 months will see constructive moves toward unlocking value. Starboard has boosted the size of its stake in WPP to 7.5% and increased the pressure for corporate change. We also note that Wausau is a net purchaser of ~350K mtons/yr of market pulp and 125-140K tons/yr of wastepaper. Prices of both commodities, especially pulp, are falling. This could create some earnings tailwind for Wausau."
