Barclays maintains an 'Overweight' on Dollar General (NYSE: DG) price target raised from $41 to $44.

Barclays analyst says, "Last week we hosted the management of Dollar General, including the CEO Rick Dreiling and the CFO David Tehle, at meetings with investors. Commentary was upbeat, and management reiterated that its current focus on growing unit market share by being slower than competitors to pass along inflation is succeeding, and will pay off even more handsomely when inflation moderates."

"We see opportunity for DG to improve all aspects of its business even further, and most areas of potential are being actively pursued, including better labor management and more direct sourcing of product."
