Morning Movers 10/06: (LVLT) (IVN) (ESIC) (OCZ) (MCP) Higher; (WTSLA) (NPTN) (HELE) Lower

Level 3 (Nasdaq: LVLT) 19.1% HIGHER; stock continuing to rebound after pushing below a support level around $1.40 earlier this week. The stock is up more than 37 percent since Monday. Nearly 19 million shares of the stock have already traded hands, compared to its average daily volume of about 30 million shares.

Ivanhoe Mines (NYSE: IVN) 18% HIGHER; catching a bid this morning following an affirmation by Ivanhoe, Rio Tinto (NYSE: RIO) and the Mongolian government related to their continued support for the Oyu Tolgoi project.

EasyLink Services Corp. (NASDAQ: ESIC) 14.1% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.32, versus ($0.03) reported last year.

Ocz Technology Group (NASDAQ: OCZ) 14.1% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of ($0.03), $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $78.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $77.76 million. Ocz Technology Group sees FY2012 revenue of $320-$350 million, versus prior guidance of $300-$330 million and the consensus of $332.07 million.

Molycorp (NYSE: MCP) 13% HIGHER; a Dahlman Rose analyst highlighted a recent Pentagon report which underlines the "importance of the domestic rare earth supply chain." The firm believes Molycorp "stands to benefit the most from any maneuvers by the Us DoD."

The Wet Seal, Inc. (Nasdaq: WTSLA) 13% LOWER; reports total sales for the month of September were $53.6 million, up 4.8 percent from the same period last year. Same-store sales fell 0.3 percent.

NeoPhotonics Corporation (NYSE: NPTN) 12.3% LOWER; reports preliminary revenue estimate for the third quarter is in the range of $43 to $45 million. The Street sees $50.94 million. On August 4, 2011, the company provided its projections for the third quarter ending September 30, 2011, for revenue of $48 to $53 million. The revised estimate for the third quarter reflects lower than expected revenue from the company’s largest customer.

Zumiez (Nasdaq: ZUMZ) 12.1% HIGHER; reports a 10.1 percent rise in same-store sales during September. Raises its Q3 EPS guidance from 37-39 cents to 40-41 cents, which compares to the Street estimate of 40 cents. Sales guidance raised to $150-$152 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $149.3 million.

Melco Crown (Nasdaq: MPEL) 11.9% HIGHER; Casino & Gaming sector performing very strong today following recent downside. The stock had fallen by nearly 38 percent over the last two weeks before bouncing on Tuesday.

Youku.com (Nasdaq: YOKU) 11.2% HIGHER; continues to bounce as traders seem to be shrugging of recent widespread fears related to the US-listed Chinese-based internet fraud scams.

Anadys Pharma (Nasdaq: ANDS) 10.7% HIGHER; continuing higher today. A William Blair analyst believes the company could now be an acquisition target following data on a Phase 2b trial of its 12-week Setrobuvir.

Helen Of Troy (NASDAQ: HELE) 10.7% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.74, $0.13 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.87. Revenue for the quarter came in at $277.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $288.8 million. Reaffirms outlook.

Constellation Brands Inc. (NYSE: STZ) 9.4% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.77, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $690 million versus the consensus estimate of $667.87 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $2.00-$2.10, versus prior guidance of $1.90-$2.00 and the consensus of $1.96.
