Merck (NYSE: MRK) sells its 50 percent stake in the J&J (NYSE: JNJ)-Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals Co. joint venture to McNEIL-PPC Inc. for $175 million.
The JV will be renamed McNeil Consumer Pharmaceuticals Co. and will continue to market products under the PEPCID(R), MYLANTA(R), and MYLICON(R) brands.
