In addition to this morning's upgrade at Stifel, Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) is seeing aciton on reports from Sky News that Alibaba is in advanced talks to sell a stake to a group of foreign investors that could include the Singapore government and Silver Lake Partners.
Alibaba CEO Jack Ma could make an announcement as early as the next few days about the sale of a minority stake in the group that will value it at tens of billions of dollars, SkyNews said.
Yahoo! is the owner of a stake in Alibaba and has been rumored to have its own deal with Silver Lake in the mix.
