Investors Sell Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) Shares Despite 'Beat and Raise'

Despite "beat and raise" quarter and guidance, shares of Bed Bath & Beyond (Nasdaq: BBBY) are selling off in Wednesday's after-hours session.

The company topped second-quarter earnings per share result by 9 cents and posted inline quarterly sales.

Bed Bath & Beyond's third-quarter outlook was right inline with the Street: EPS of 82-87 cents, versus the consensus of 86 cents. For the FY11, the retailer raised its EPS growth outlook from 15-20 percent to 22-25 percent.

The stock is down just under 1 percent from the close.
