Following earlier speculation surrounding a large financing action at United Technologies (NYSE: UTX), reports from Bloomberg late Friday suggest the company could be looking at none other than Goodrich Corp. (NYSE: GR).
Goodrich shares rose about 7 percent during the intraday session, and are now up another 5 percent after hours.
The earliest reports rumored Tyco (NYSE: TYC) could be the top candidate, however CNBC's David Faber mostly snuffed that one as a source told him United Technologies financing was well below the $20 billion which would likely be needed to make a stab at Tyco.
