Canaccord Genuity maintains a 'Buy' on Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) price target of $67.00.
Canaccord analyst, Scott Burk, says, "Early summaries overstated HAL blame. Early morning stories about the BOEMRE (Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement) report indicated shared responsibility for the blow out between BP (NYSE: BP), Transocean (NYSE: RIG) and HAL, but the report details largely exonerate HAL from blame, in our view...We would take advantage of any future Macondo-related downside to buy the stock."
