On CNBC, Nomura tech analyst Rick Sherlund said Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL) could easily buy Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) and it would be immediately accretive.
Sherlund said Oracle could pay a 50% premium for HP and the would still be 30% accreative.
He said he wouldn't want to comment on the chance of such a deal happening, although he said Oracle wouldn't want HP's PCs or printers - just mainly software.
Sherlund also discussed rumors in the market IBM (NYSE: IBM) could buy SAP (NYSE: SAP), which would pressure Oracle to make a move.
