Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) Personal System Group (PSG) leader Todd Bradley made comments in a Chinese language Sina.com report recently.
Bradley thinks a spin-off of the unit makes sense, but the business is not suitable to sell to competitors, according to Digitimes.
Bradley hopes to continue leading the unit as an independent company, believing it will become a mature PC player sometime in the future. He also thinks Hewlett-Packard will produce another tablet PC.
Hewlett-Packard shares are trading 1.2 percent better Wednesday morning.
