Netflix (NFLX) Starz News Cuts Both Ways

September 1, 2011 5:09 PM EDT
News after hours on Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) that Strarz canceled renewal talks with the company can be interpreted two ways:

1. The company will not just pay "anything" for content (positive)
2. They now have no content that differentiates from other services (negative)

On the news, traders are watching DirecTV (NYSE: DTV), DISH Network (Nasdaq: DISH), which owns Blockbuster, and Coinstar (Nasdaq: CSTR), which owns Redbox.
