Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 09/01: (LQDT) (EGO) (PAET) High; (SAI) (OXGN) (BAH) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Liquidity Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: LQDT) high of $31.69. Liquidity Services ripped higher Thursday morning, as it announced entering an agreement to acquire the consumer goods remarketing business of Jacobs Trading Company (Jacobs Trading) for $140 million plus potential performance-based consideration. Liquidity Services moved 32 percent on the session.

  • Eldorado Gold Corp. (NYSE: EGO) high of $20.68. Continuing to make gains as gold continues to rise amid uncertainty in the marketplace. Gold is just about flat, though, on Thursday's session.

  • PAETEC Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: PAET) high of $5.68. PAETEC isn't making any special moves today, just moving about 1.3 percent to its new high following early termination of the waiting period in Winstream's proposed acquisition.
52-Week Low:
  • SAIC, Inc. (NYSE: SAI) low of $12.87. SAIC is lower after reporting second-quarter earnings of 32 cents on revenue of $2.6 billion, versus the consensus earnings of 35 cents per share and revenue of $2.77 billion. Looking ahead, SAIC sees fiscal 2012 EPS from continuing operations of $1.30 to $1.40, which compares to the Street estimate of $1.43. Sees sales of $10.6 to $11.0 billion, versus consensus of $11.2 billion.

  • OXiGENE, Inc. (Nasdaq: OXGN) low of $1.04. OXiGENE reporting a restructuring of the company, diverting resources into more probable ventures. Notably, OXiGENE believes a Phase 3 registrational study of ZYBRESTAT in patients with anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) funded by Company financial resources is not feasible.   • Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. (NYSE: BAH) low of $14.77. Stifel Nicolaus downgraded Booz Allen from Buy to Hold, while maintaining a price target of $22.

  • Greif, Inc. (NYSE: GEF) low of $47.75. Greif is lower after reporting third-quarter adjusted earnings of $1.18 on revenue of $1.1 billion, shy of the Street views calling for earnings of $1.33 per share and revenue of $1.11 billion. Looking ahead, Grief said it sees fiscal 2011 earnings in the range of $4.15 to $4.30 per share, well shy of the $4.73 per share consensus.
